Health+Commerce Announces Two Key Senior Leadership Hires

Jennifer Beedon and Krysta Pellegrino Bring Deep Healthcare Experience, Will Expand Agency’s PR and Marketing Capabilities

Santa Rosa, Calif. – May 10, 2017 – Health+Commerce, a boutique West Coast-based healthcare public relations and marketing agency, today announced two key hires: Jennifer Beedon, in the role of Practice Leader, Marketing, & Head of Strategy; and Krysta Pellegrino, who joins as Practice Leader, Public Relations.

Jennifer Beedon will build and lead the Marketing practice for Health+Commerce and will be responsible for new business development, account management, and identifying strategic opportunities for the company’s growth. A healthcare executive and creative thinker with 20 years of operational, consulting and general management experience, Jennifer has worked with Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurs alike to develop marketing strategies, evaluate business opportunities, and create winning teams. Prior to joining Health+Commerce, Jennifer ran her own marketing consulting business and has held international and domestic leadership roles in marketing, business development and manufacturing operations at Guidant Corporation (now Abbott) and 3M. Jennifer is a founding member of MedtechWomen, a nonprofit organization dedicated to highlighting women leaders in healthcare. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan.

Krysta Pellegrino joins Health+Commerce with 17 years of healthcare communications experience for medical device, biotech and pharmaceutical companies. She will lead the agency’s public relations practice, with responsibility for overseeing client communications programs as well as mentoring and training the company’s employees and consultants. Prior to joining Health+Commerce, Krysta was director of Global Public Affairs at Abbott, where she led all internal and external communications initiatives for the vision business including media relations, social media strategy, executive communications and issues management. Prior to Abbott, Krysta led external public relations for Genentech’s cancer and ophthalmology businesses for nine years. Krysta has specific expertise and passion for high-science data communications, media relations, strategic issues management and helping healthcare companies enter and succeed in the digital media space. Krysta has served as the president of the San Francisco Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and has won numerous awards in recognition for her work. She graduated with a journalism and PR degree from Temple University in Philadelphia.
