Account Executive / Senior Account Executive (PR)

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for day-to-day media relations and project management within accounts. As the most media-focussed role on the team, they thrive on developing relationships with key members of the media and successfully pitching clients’ stories. They are also able to integrate social media into PR campaigns and have the necessary skills to communicate effectively with their clients, teams and media contacts.

 

Responsible for managing multiple accounts, of varying sizes. Launches and manages campaign work, delegates assignments to PR team, and ensures the needs of the client are met.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate team and drive tactical projects from conception to completion; managing timelines, budgets and client deliverables

  • Write professional, error-free core communications materials aligned with client strategy, including press releases, key messages, Q&A’s, social media content

Senior Account Director (PR)

An account director is a senior contact for clients within the agency. They manage and oversee teams to ensure campaigns are developed and delivered and client service expectations are met. Commercially minded and creative in nature, the account director is adept at building relationships with members of the media, industry spokespeople, executives, key opinion leaders and others. They direct and lead teams, projects, providing counsel to clients and teams. As a senior member of the business, they deliver new business and grow existing accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clients and teams; gaining and sustaining client trust by delivering timely results and strategic recommendations
  • Maintain deep knowledge of clients and the industry, including trends and issues that may affect clients, their competitors and stakeholders
  • Serve as main client contact for day-to-day activities; drive client and internal meetings
  • Review and provide counsel on written materials, ensure documents are strategic, accurate, and well written
  • Work with senior leaders to develop recommendations and presentations to clients and prospects, including writing portions of plans and presentations

  • Proficient knowledge of biotech, pharma, and/or medtech space
  • Minimum 6-7 years agency experience or mix of agency and in-house biotech/medtech experience for AD level; 9-10 years experience for senior AD
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Mastery of media materials development; expert written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, collegial work environment
